Toasted Ravioli

This is a great new take on the traditional ravioli recipe. It’s deliciously breaded then fried and served with a simple marinara sauce and sprinkled with fresh grated Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients -
2 Tablespoons Whole Milk
1 Egg
3/4 Cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Package Frozen Cheese Ravioli, (25 ounce), thawed
3 Cups Vegetable Oil for Frying
1 Tablespoon Parmesan Cheese, grated
1 Jar Spaghetti Sauce, (16 ounce)

Preparation:

1. In a small bowl combine the milk and egg.

2. In a shallow bowl place the breadcrumbs and salt.

3. Dip the ravioli in the milk mixture and coat with the breadcrumbs.

4. Heat the marinara sauce over medium in a large saucepan heat until bubbling.

5. Reduce the heat to simmer.

6. Pour the oil to a depth of 2 inches in a large saucepan.

7. Heat the oil over medium heat until a small amount of breading sizzles and turns brown.

8. Fry the ravioli, a few at a time, 1 minute on each side or until golden brown.

9. Drain on paper towels.

10. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

11. Serve immediately with hot marinara sauce.
